July 12th 2014 Lewisham Peoples Day

Sol Cinema performed at South east London's most popular free festival on Saturday 12 July
Festival was open 12 noon to 8pm in Mountsfield Park, Catford and it was absolutely free to attend.

August 16th 2014 Spotlight festival, Seven Dials, London

Sol Cinema appeared in London again. We were in Seven Dials on Saturday August 16th from 12-7pm to celebrate the array of culture in the area. The whole of Seven Dials was traffic-free and Sol Cinema enjoyed long queues in the sunshine. Thank you London

Sol Cinema is off up North to perform for the Festival of Light.
This year's Festival of Light brings an amazing year of free events to a close following on from the Tour de France. which started in Yorkshire this year.

Sol Cinema went to the East of England. We performed on Dartford High Street showing locally made videos as part of Dartford Creative

Brum is being treated this year as we return yet again to the Bull Ring to perform for the fashion chain, Warehouse.We were outside the infamous Birmingham Bullring in the Rotunda Square from 9am until 9pm
September 7th, Liverpool

Sol Cinema was in Liverpool for the first time. We performed for Warehouse and showed their latest movie about Fashion- all outfits were chosen by the general public

Sol Cinema went into England for Appetite - a street festival of inspiring arts and cultural events.
A bespoke programme of short films of 5 minutes each was created especially for Stoke-on-Trent.

March 22 & 23 2013 Flatpack Film Festival, Birmingham

Sol Cinema arrived in a snow blizzard in Birmingham for the Flatpack film festival. Despite minus 7 degrees with the wind chill, we performed for 2 days on the High street. Mud, rain or Sun we are always there!

Sol Cinema went back for another weekend film festival at Barbican arts centre in London.

Sol Cinema showed the best films from young people in a unique festival. Framed festival was held in Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue , The Barbican arts.

Sol Cinema escaped to a smaller island to perform alongside Stevie Wonder and New Order amongst others. A sunny time was had by all and Sol Cinema was full of well dressed animals. Superb event.

Meeting other performers in Oldham
Sol Cinema performed at Festival Oldham -a yearly weekend festival that takes place in the heart of Oldham celebrating the very best art and entertainment the town has to offer. Despite the torrential rain, we entertained and even had an entire orchestra playing Bohemian Rhapsody outside.

Sol Cinema was at the Postcode Lottery ceremony in Port Talbot as £2m was won by a wide range of people.The full winning postcode, SA12 6PY, was announced at a winner's party for players living in postcode area.

Sol Cinema was shortlisted to win the Epic awards for Arts projects across UK and Ireland.
Thanks for all your votes. We were pipped at the post for the top prize but we still won a runners up award in the Epic Awards.
August 11-18th 2011 Swansea

We were in the Waterfront Museum helping to launch Swansea Telly- a local community internet TV channel for the city. Hundreds came along and watched videos for free and learned how you can watch and submit your own videos for free. Free DVDs were given away too every day 1pm-3pm

Sol Cinema entertained 100 people at a private party in South Devon for The Fur-Heads Strike Back.
26-28th May Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd

Sol Cinema performed 3 day environmental event at Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd, from the 26 - 28th of May. Despite the rain, the Sol Cinema welcomed school children on the 26th & 27th and then the wider public on the 28th.
May 18th Penclawdd, Wales - The Sol Cinema went to school

The Sol Cinema visited Penclawdd Primary school in South Wales showing the young pupils their own home made movies and animations. The Evening Post came and wrote a report for the newspaper

Sol Cinema has been chosen for the Surreal House at Barbican Art gallery inviting visitors in for a trip into its twisted domestic interior. Featuring artists from the early days of Surrealism in the twenties right up to the present day, including Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte, Edward Hopper, Man Ray and Louise Bourgeois.
